Ministering of Angels

Us moms take our letters to our missionary sons very seriously.  It would take us being in a coma before we would skip a week.  Your mom (who, for the record, I love dearly and think is the most amazing woman on this earth) has been trying to e-mail your letter for the last hour without success (internet difficulties).  So, because she knows how much I love her and would do anything for her, she has asked me if I would send you her letter.  Which also gives me a chance to (FINALLY) tell you how proud I am of you and how much I have enjoyed reading your letters each week.  I'm so happy that you have this amazing opportunity to serve the people of Spain.  Donavaghn comes home in 24 days (but who's counting?).  We are all doing good here and keeping busy.  The pear farm is up in full swing and everyone is picking like crazy.  Sadly, it's been about 104 degrees for the last few days.  Luckily, we are starting to cool down to the 90's.  It sounds like your mom has enjoyed her trip, but I'm DEFINITELY ready for her to come home now.  I've really missed her.  Have a fabulous week and know how much we love you!!!   -Jodi Jarvie

Elder Beal,
It makes me happy to hear that you love your mission President and his wife.  It is easier to obey when you love those who execute commands.  Those are great goals you and your companion have. S.M.A.R.T. goals will provide the greatest opportunity for success.

We spent 4 days in Nauvoo this week.  The main goal at the time the Saints lived there was to build a temple worthy of the Lord so they might enjoy the Eternal Blessings of the Priesthood performed within its walls.  Their enormous sacrifice always astounds me.  That type of faith and level of conversion is admirable.  I recognize we battle different enemies than they did and our sacrifices are different than theirs but we all place our faith in the same Lord and our strength comes from him.
Quick update:  No dad hasn't bought or sold any motorcycles, yet.  As much as he talks and researches it, I know it won't be long.  :)
Sariah is single and trying to straighten out her life.  She is still working full time at Walmart and is considering the Pathway Program through BYUI.
Camilla's clocking in tons of hours at Subway and doing mini road trips with her friends on her days off.
Nauvoo, Malachi and I will be home this week.  We saw a lot, but there is so much more to see and do!  The city of Nauvoo was the highlight of our week and a really great addition to our trip as we didn't originally plan on going there.  We went because the heat index was way too high in the Deep South.  Turned out to be a rich blessing.
I love you!
Love,
Mom
Hey MORONI, missing you a ton!  I've been reflecting a lot lately on my children and I'm so proud that you decided to go on a mission and choose the right.  It was probably quite a sacrifice for you to do it, but I'm sure now you realized that it was the best option.  I'm proud to say that my son has fulfilled another commitment that he made with his heavenly father and probably plans to fulfill many others know that he is serving a mission.  I'm a proud poppa.
As you know already, mom Malachi and Nauvoo have been gone for about a month, Sariah, Camilla and I have been fending for ourselves, but it's been fun.  The girls of been working a lot, and trying to save money for their future . Life is generally the same home, things don't change a whole lot, but we're happy. I've been somewhat busy with my calling in the stake young men's presidency. This week I have two camps I have to go to for the young man, and I've also been busy fulfilling my assignments in the pear farm.
After this week I'll be preparing to go for an adventure motorcycle ride around Southern Utah, will be riding about 1400 miles.  When I get back I'm thinking about selling my motorcycle and buying a different one that's a little bit lighter weight, but that's a hard decision because I love my motorcycle now. At work I've been estimating full time and it's really busy, but I really like my job and I hope it doesn't end. I pray for you every day that you have the spirit to be with you and that you're able to be obedient to find those who are looking for the gospel. Many times I think about you searching in working hard and I wish that I could be there with you to experience part of it. I'm proud to tell my friends that you're serving a mission in Spain.
MORONI, continue to do a good work and keep forgetting about yourself, because the Lord will take care of you once you get home. Again, I miss you tons and hope to talk to you again soon I love you with all my heart dad.

Hey Momma!
Don’t worry, I got your email and I saw the photos for just a quick second and then they left. But it's alright. This week always really good it was rainy and kinda gloomy, but it was still good. I did buy new shoes, they were like 90€ they are Clarks. I'll take a picture of them next week I'm still trying to make these shoes that I have last the rest of the way of my mission but I'm only going to wear them on sunny days, plus they're super comfortable because they're worn in. My companion and I have been listening to conference talks every night, I love it. I like to listen to Elder Holland because he talks a lot about hope and Faith. And as a Missionary those two things are hand in hand. During a missionary's mission he will have ups and downs. Sometimes you get comfortable and at times a little lazy or in a rut. But the lord is there to help us change and to be better. He is like that wench that gets stuck trucks moving, until they reach the top. I really enjoy doing strange things that we do to help the companionship, I also think that talking things out helps a lot even though sometimes it's weird. Today is a beautiful sunny day and I'm really enjoying my time here in Gijon. Anyways here's the talk that we listened to today. Jeffery R. Holland October 2008 The Ministry of Angels.
I love you Mom,
Moroni.
