Crazy Truth

This week has been pretty good, I loved New Year's~ however they don't pop them they eat them (In our Christmas phone call he mentioned that they were invited to pop grapes on New Year's) we ate with this guy Pablo Garcia, he's from Uruguay, and it was interesting but it was fun! This week I did another exchange with Elder Jones, my District leader had a lot of fun and we ate some good food. Yeah Evie and Kim they don't want to meet with us anymore and they do not want to come to church either. Evie got in an argument with her mom over the break about the church, so it's been kind of a bummer. But we aren't giving up we are praying and fasting for her! I have been reading a lot in the Book of Mormon I have had a big desire to read it in my mission I am starting to really love it! Here is some of the verses that really liked and want to teach about!
                                                                      Moroni 8: 11-13
11 And their little children need no repentance, neither baptism. Behold, baptism is unto repentance to the fulfilling the commandments unto the remission of sins.
12 But little children are alive in Christ, even from the foundation of the world; if not so, God is a partial God, and also a changeable God, and a respecter to persons; for how many little children have died without baptism!
13 Wherefore, if little children could not be saved without baptism, these must have gone to an endless hell.
This really teaches that Heavenly Father is a just God and that he is a true God, I am glad for the the atonement that has been provided for me through Jesus Christ and I know I can by him be lifted up at the last day! I love you guys so much and I'm so thankful that I am here serving the Lord!

We must walk a lot...

We take our breaks when we can!

Woohoo It is a new year, a fresh start, I love that feeling.  I think that is why I love baptisms and partaking of the Sacrament so much, I NEED fresh starts, more importantly we all need strong finishes.  I love the way you applied Alma 56:46 to Earth life.  Heavenly Father has provided a way for us all to have a great strong finish. The Scripture I have posted up in the house this week to ponderize is 2 Nephi 32:3.   Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
It is our scripture for the month of January in Primary as well.  Feast is such a powerful descriptive word, and like a Thanksgiving Feast, everybody still eats the very next day. Likewise we should not feast on Sunday then let our scriptures collect dust the rest of the week or only nibble here and there.  I also love the truth that angels are speaking to us, this causes me to ponder, am I in tune enough with the Holy Ghost to hear them? How can I improve that gift? or "What lack I yet?" from the last General Conference?  I LOVE that the Holy Ghost often answers with very personal, precise instruction.
The past two weeks have been so wonderful off work but vacation is over and back to work in the morning :)  I was able to refinish our kitchen table over break.  It was so horrible before, I am super pleased with the result.
It was also great to sit with Karlita at one of Nauvoo's basketball games to catch up and talk about church and future goals.
Dad keeps his motorcycle adventures going and is gearing up for his big adventure ride in August.  They will be doing Southern Utah for 11 days, he is really looking forward to this trip and deserves a break from all these years of endless work. The other day he came home and said you know I realized today that I am happy that I am able to work, it really is a joy and not drudgery. The scriptures also testify that work is for our blessing.  What goals do you or you and your companion have set for this week?
Speaking of hard workers, Brother Woods left us a kind Christmas voicemail and he said he "sure misses that Moroni, what a fine young man and hard worker you are."So keep working hard and smiling bright!  Your influence on this world is great.  I love you and am so proud of you.
J'Taime Toujours,
Mom
