In Gospel Doctrine this week we are studying about the appearance and ministry of the Savior on the American continent as found in third Nephi. I love that no matter how dark the trouble is around us, whether by our own choices or those imposed on us, He continues to invite us to Come unto Him. This knowledge of a Savior whose love is unconditional, unbiased, and ever present is powerful. I am so grateful that in my darkest moments, His light always shines the way out. I wish I could carry this thought always in the front of my mind so that the whirlwinds would feel like gentle breezes and I would not fear. Today, the song, His Hands sung by Jenny Jordan Frogley, is so powerful to me. I will forward you a link on YouTube if that's okay.
Rick bore his testimony today. That makes me miss you, but missing you is outweighed by the joy I feel knowing you are bringing the love of God to others. Emerson and Britton got engaged this week. They would like to get sealed in the Provo City Center temple early next spring.
Sariah looks so happy in all her pictures. Even sent one of her and Karlita, no explanation just beautiful, bright smiles.
Camilla is working really hard to graduate early plus covering shifts at Subway all the time. She is clocking in 45+ hours each week. Tonight both of them spoke at young women's in excellence and it was wonderful.
Nauvoo has been gearing up for basketball season and stays after school each day shooting free throws. Like 500 at a time. She went to the temple this week with the youth group. So lovely.
Malachi is making more YouTube videos. Tonight's was on how to make the best chocolate chip cookies.
Dad and I love and try not to worry about you. We trust the Lord and his timing.
Lots of people are always asking about you and keep you in their prayers.
We got another email discouraging us to send big packages for Christmas, but said it would be fine to order something off of Amazon ES. Is there something you would like? Or need? Please let me know right away. I wonder if you have received the gift from me or Karlita yet. I love you forever and always!
Love,
Mom

Hey guess what happened last week, last week I had the flu and it was so bad that I couldn't even hardly stand up. This week will be better and hopefully I will have some more things to talk about in my next email. When I was sick I watched a lot of videos or talks from Elder Holland. And he talks about mothers and how much they mean to their families and their sons and daughters and how much of an effect that they can have for the family. I love you so much mom and, you're the one that taught me everything. Yeah sure Dad told me about fishing and hunting and hiking but everything really came from you. I think that you changed in my life by all the things that you did for me and you really helped me to be here on the mission. I love you so much mom and I can't wait for my last Christmas so that I can't talk to you Dad and the family. I love you guys so much.
Moroni
(I think he must have been inspired to say such sweet things about me being a mom, because I was listening to Satan tell me lies about how I wasted my time and I blew it at motherhood. We all know Brett is Superdad!))
